About the Organisers
The Faculty of Law at GLS University is excited to announce an Essay Writing Competition as part of the “Samvidhan Safar” series, a year-long celebration marking the 75th anniversary of the Indian Constitution. This competition invites participants from across India to explore the complexities of the Indian Constitution through their essays. The event is designed to inspire academic inquiry, foster creative expression, and deepen understanding of the Constitution’s profound impact on the nation’s legal and social frameworks. The “Samvidhan Safar” series is a comprehensive commemoration beginning in November 2024 and concluding in November 2025. Through a variety of lectures, discussions, and interactive sessions, the celebration aims to delve into different aspects of the Indian Constitution—its evolution, its influence on modern society, and its role in shaping the future of the nation.
Details of the Essay Writing Competition
The Essay Writing Competition will be held online. To participate, candidates must register by providing their details through the provided registration link. A nominal registration fee of Rs. 200 must be paid to confirm participation. Upon successful registration and payment, participants will receive a confirmation email containing a unique code required for participation. Please ensure all registration details are filled out correctly to avoid any issues. The registration and submission links will remain open until April 30, 2025. Therefore, we encourage interested individuals to register well before the deadline to secure their place in the competition. We look forward to your active participation and wish you success in crafting insightful essays for this significant occasion.
Eligibility
The competition is open to all students in India across various academic streams (UG/PG).

The competition will take place online.

- Announcement of Competition: March 25, 2025
- Last Date of Registration: April 30, 2025
- Last Date of Submission: May 10, 2025
- Result Announcement and Expert Lecture: May 31, 2025
Fee Details
The registration fee is Rs. 200. To confirm participation, individuals from every institution should register themselves along with the Rs. 200 fee (for a maximum of 2 authors). Payment will be made through the provided QR Code.
Prizes
E-certificates and cash prizes will be awarded to the winners:
- First Prize: INR 8,000/- + E-Certificate of Excellence
- Second Prize: INR 5,000/- + E-Certificate of Merit
- Third Prize: INR 3,000/- + E-Certificate of Merit
