About the Competition:
1st SGTU International Moot Court Competition, 2024 is being organized by the Moot Court Society of Faculty of Law, SGT University, Gurugram on 30th- 31st August and 14th Sept, 2024. The moot proposition is on the International Environmental Law based on the leading environmental issues emerging at the global level. The Competition provides an opportunity for students to understand the conduct, procedures and applications of International Law, Treaties and Conventions.
Mode of Competition:
The competition will be conducted in hybrid mode-
1. 30th- 31st August: Online Rounds. (Inaugural Ceremony, Prelims and Quarter Final Rounds)
2. 14th September: Offline Rounds (Semi-Final, Final Rounds and Valedictory Ceremony)
Eligibility:
Students pursuing a three-year or a five-year law degree from any recognized institution can participate in the competition.
Team Composition:
The team may comprise 2 members (both speakers and one of them designated as a researcher) or 3 members (2 speakers and one researcher)
Important Dates:
Last date of registration: 20th August, 2024
Last date for seeking clarifications: 22nd August, 2024
Release of Clarifications: 24th August, 2024
Last date for memorials submission: 26th August, 2024
Inauguration Ceremony: 30th August, 2024
Researcher’s Test: 30th August, 2024
Prelims and Quarter Rounds: 31st August, 2024
Semi-Final and Final rounds: 14th Sept, 2024
How to Register?
1. The teams shall fill out the registration form and shall complete the payment of registration fees i.e., Rs 3000/- per team.
2. To access the registration form, click here.
3. The teams are required to send the screenshot of the completed transaction and a soft copy of the registration form to the email address: mcs@sgtuniversity.org.
Memorial Submission:
1. The soft copy of memorials each from both sides in both Word format and pdf format must be sent to mcs@sgtuniversity.org by 26th August, 2024 with the subject “Memorials- Team Code_”.
2. Memorials should adhere to the specified rules with the cover page of the Applicant Memorial in Red Colour and the Defendant Memorial in Blue Colour.

Best Memorial: Rs 10,000/-
Best Researcher: Rs 7000/-
Best Mooter: Rs 7000/-
