About the Internship
The Office of Justice K.V. Viswanathan, Judge, Supreme Court of India, is accepting applications for physical, full-time internships on a rolling basis for November 2024 – May 2025. Interns are expected to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism at all times, ensuring that all information obtained during the internship is handled with the utmost discretion and that their conduct consistently reflects the integrity and excellence required by the office.
Eligibility
- Undergraduate law students (2nd year or above in 3-year program, 3rd year or above in 5-year program)
- Postgraduate law students
Responsibilities
- Prepare briefs summarizing case facts, legal arguments, and relevant case law.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and draft memos and opinions.
- Attend court proceedings and meetings, taking detailed minutes.
Duration of Internship
This one-month internship, extendable based on performance and availability, offers immersive learning opportunities.

Applications will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis, applicants should ideally submit their application 5 weeks prior to the intended start of their internship.
Selection Process:
Applicants will be interviewed telephonically or virtually. Confirmations will be communicated 2-4 weeks prior to the start of the internship. All applicants will be informed of their internship status.
Orientation: At the start of the internship, interns will participate in an orientation session covering essential procedures, tools, and policies, and will be provided with necessary templates and protocols to ensure they are well-prepared for their responsibilities.
